CAPRI

“Capri, queen of rock, in your amaranth and lily coloured dress, creating happiness and pain…” this was what Pablo Neurda wrote.
Many loves the naturalistic aspect of the island, made of breathtaking views and the lapis lazuli blue sea, the yellow of the blooms and lemons…
Others have loved it for its worldly guise, which for two centuries, has made it one of the most glamourous destinantions in the world.

A concentration of wild nature, a fantastic climate, great gastronomy, art and culture and, of course, glamour. An island for all seasons, where the most exclusive shopping combines perfectly with the sunny silence of the white houses of Anacapri.
It is a place for spectacular trekking overlooking the sea but also a place where the darning architectures of rock of the Natural Arch or of the Faraglioni, marry with the garlanded loggias of the most exclusive villas.

The Piazzetta

piazzetta-Capri
It is the symbol of wordly Capri and the starting point for all the itineraries to discover the islnd. There is the bell tower of the old cathedral, a symbol, with its majolicas; exclusive boutiques and popular cafés .

Blue grotto

blu-grotto-capri
It is the most famous attraction on Capri. From all over the world flock to see it, even if only for a few minutes. Long queues form at its entrance. To enter you have to lie down on the bottom of a rowboat that slides through the small arch. Inside you find yourself floating in the dark, on water so blue it seems transparent, an experience to try at least once in your life.

Villa Jovis

villa-jovis-capri
The emperor Tiberius spent years on Capri and on the island he built several villas. The most impressive is Villa Jovis. Rich in gardens and fountains, the rooms overlooked them and from the terrace it was possible to see from the Gulf of Naples to Punta Licosa. The ravine below the terrace has been known throughout history as the “Salto di Tiberio” (the jump of Tiberio) because, according to the legend, the emperor threw fallen dignitaries off of it.

Arco Naturale

arco-naturale-capri
It is a rock formation that has acquired a curious arch shape. Along the way there are several viewpoints that allow you to get under the rock. Even from the sea you can see the Natural Arch. If you go around the island by boat, ask your guide to stop and show you where he is.

Marina Piccola

marina-piccola-Capri
The Marina Piccola area overlooks the Faraglioni of Capri and is therefore one of the most beautiful areas of Capri and probably of Italy for a day at the beach. Due to its position it is always hot and poorly ventilated. There are two small free beaches, but to find a place try to arrive early in the morning. There are also small coves on the sides that can be reached by swimming or by boat. The remains of the ancient Roman port are visible on the coast next to Marina Piccola.

Anacapri

anacapri
It is the highest town on the island, here you will find a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere than in the mundane center of Capri. It is a pleasure to wander through the narrow streets lined with craft shops, the squares with the majolica benches and the alleys with the typical houses.

Monte solaro

capri-monte-solaro
The highest and most panoramic point of the Island of Capri. From its terraces the view goes from the Faraglioni to the urban center of Capri, up to the Sorrento Peninsula, the Galli islands and the entire Gulf of Naples. On clear days it is also possible to glimpse the Gulf of Salerno. On the top of Monte Solaro you can relax with a drink or simply walk on the terraces taking pictures of the panorama. After filling your eyes with beauty, you can choose to go down by chairlift or on foot.

Villa San Michele

The villa was built in the most panoramic place on the island. A Sphinx placed in the most panoramic corner is there to guard the dreams of those who arrive in Capri. You cannot avoid looking out next to her and enjoying a breathtaking view while dreaming.

The best experiences to live on the island.

Things you can't miss if you go to Capri!

A boat tour around the island

Discover Capri from the point of view of the sea, then stretch out on a rowboat and enter the Blue Grotto. The boats leave from Marina Grande, the port of Capri, skirt the whole island passing between the Faraglioni, next to the Punta Carena lighthouse and stop in front of the Blue Grotto. Here you get on small rowing boats, the only ones able to enter the cave. You can choose to join a shared group tour or rent a boat with a sailor just for you.

A relaxing day on the beach

What could be better than lying on a sunbed, perhaps with a drink in hand, in front of a crystalline sea? In Capri the beaches are few and small, made of rocks and pebbles. The establishments are lounges on the sea with excellent fish-based restaurants where you can spend a whole day in maximum relaxation.

Have a drink in the Piazzetta

bar-piazzetta-capri
Anyone who arrives in Capri cannot help but go to the Piazzetta and sit at one of the tables of the outdoor cafes. For a coffee in the morning or an aperitif in the evening, the stop in the Piazzetta is a must. It is the place where the people “who is cool” sit to watch and be watched…

The ascent by chairlift to Monte Solaro

Take the chairlift to the summit of Mount Solaro, once at the top enjoy the view calmly, take lots of photos and maybe stop for a drink at the bar.

A walk to Tragara

From the Piazzetta, go down and feast your eyes on the glittering windows of the luxury boutiques and then find yourself immersed in the luminous tranquility of Via Tragara. The road runs alongside the gardens of the most beautiful villas and hotels in Capri with the sea shining beyond the jasmine and bougainvillea. At the end you arrive in a small square overlooking the Faraglioni.

An aperitif at the Faro

Faro-capri
Where is the most beautiful sunset on Capri? Surely at the Punta Carena lighthouse, the only point on the island from where you can admire the sun setting over the sea. Come to the Lighthouse in the afternoon, have a swim, some sun and then it will be a pleasure to wait for the sunset while sipping an aperitif.

A romatic dinner

restaurant-capri
How to end a perfect day in Capri if not with a dinner in a restaurant with a panoramic view or a typical atmosphere? If this is the first time you are in Capri, do not forget to taste the local specialties: the stuffed caprese ravioli and the caprese cake made with chocolate and almonds. Finally the flavours and smell of Capri. Limoncello, ravioli stuffed with fish or risotto with praws and lemon and “Caprese” cake.

An evening in the Taverna

Taverna Anema e Core
If you don’t know what to do tonight, an unmissable event is an evening at the famous Taverna Anema e Core, where you play live and dance and sing to the rhythm of tarantella or the great classics of Neapolitan song such as “O ‘surdat’ nnamurat” , “O ‘Sarracino” and “Torna a Surriento”. Meeting place for many famous VIPs.
